2. MOVIE
KUNG FU PANDA 3 | SF BIO

After smashing the box office sales with the first two animated movies, Kung Fu Panda is back for its third appearance on the big screen. The return of Po (Jack Black) and his mastery of the martial arts are once again in dire need, as he teams up with his long-lost father to help teach a whole village of bumbling buffoons to become kung fu masters and defeat evil villain Kai. Boasting a star studded set of voices including Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan and Bryan Cranston the movie is set to fill the audience’s hearts with laughter and happiness.

3. SPORTS
BANDYFINALEN | TELE2 ARENA

For the second year in a row the Swedish bandy finals are making their way to a packed Tele2 Arena. Set for a fast paced and frantic showdown on the ice, this year the women’s and men’s finals will be played on the same day, doubling the action and entertainment on offer to the raucous fans before the curtain comes to a close with the awards ceremonies in the evening. The women’s final will be closely contested between local favourites AIK and Kareby, whilst the men’s final is certain to be an action-packed and tight affair between Västerås and Villa Linköping that will ensure the experience was worth every penny.

4. MUSIC EVENT
NIGHT OF THE PROMS 2016 | FRIENDS ARENA

Three years on from its last appearance in Stockholm, Night of Proms is on this week to electrify crowds with breathless music and captivating accompaniments for one night only. Exhibiting famous pop stars, choirs, symphony orchestras and famous directors, the show will send its audience on a musical journey that will have everybody dancing to the beat and singing along in unanimous fashion. Boasting such artists as Jill Johnson, Simple Minds, Lisa Stansfield, Zucchero and John Miles the show will be a unique experience that will go beyond the ordinary realms of music.

For a country that is so dedicated to health and fitness, the Stockholm Bike Expo is definitely up your alley. An opportunity to listen to leading experts in the field of elite cycling such as Maurizio Fondriest, Gary Fisher and Renata Chumskla, to test new products, to talk to the companies leading experts in bike manufacture and the chance to have to bike repaired or modified right in the parking lot are a number of extremely interesting activities on offer for you and your two wheels this weekend.

EXTRA GEM OF THE WEEK
MOVIE
TRIPLE 9 | SF BIO

If you want a movie that will keep your fingernails gripped to the armrests and your pulse racing above its normal limit, then this American crime thriller is definitely for you. Exhibiting a star studded cast including Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor and many more, the story grips audiences with its dark perspective on dirty cop and street gangs working together in the name of greed. Gang violence, gun fights and the line between right and wrong being crossed more times than you can bat your eyelids are all on show if you take a walk on the wild side with Triple 9 this weekend.
