The weather continues to inspire us into finding the best events from Friday to Sunday, so let’s hope these fun-filled treats are enough to keep you entertained on this wonderful weekend. Tours, outdoor bars, theme parks, festivals, films and football are our choices for your time off, so sit back, read and get inspired by the hot topics over the next few days.

EVENT
STOCKHOLM PRIDE | STOCKHOLM CITY
28-31/7

Stockholm’s biggest and most sensation summer festival is back once again for its 18th year. Based primarily upon raising awareness of LGBT issues and equality, the festival has continued to excel itself with another year bigger and brighter than the last. A numerous selection of foods from an array of restaurants, workshops for people of all ages and a never-ending set of performances from globally recognised entertainers is set to overflow over the next few days. With thousands upon thousands of people expected to turn up, not only from this country but from across the world, to the event and a monumental range of activities occurring over the days, the event is expected to be not only something to do this weekend, but one of the many things you should experience this year!

ACTIVITY
GRÖNA LUND | DJURGÅRDEN
29/7

We always talk about the musical displays that are going on at this incredible amusement park, but it is now finally time to recognise Gröna Lund as a must in Stockholm this weekend. With over 30 different rides within its monstrous grounds the amusement park has rides from the gentle motions of the German Carousel to the rip-roaring, death defying speeds as you plummet towards the ground on the Free Fall. With rides for the whole family and a host of places to fill your stomachs (but preferably not just before you go on the ride), Gröna Lund offers more fun than you could possibly fit into just one day. Jetline, Insane, House of Nightmares and many more are just waiting for your fearless self to have a go on this weekend and trust me it is definitely a place you will be wanting to go back to, once the ice-cream has settles back down again of course.

FOOD & DRINK
HUMLAN | HUMLEGÅRDEN
30/7

With the weather still at its generous best we have got another outdoor restaurant and bar to keep the tan stocked up and the body full of fabulous tasting drinks and food. Based in on the edge of the popular Humlegården, this suave establishment has gone the extra mile with its food by having a Taco Truck beside, serving some sizzling and flavourful fish, seafood and meat-filled tacos. Not only is the food mouth-wateringly delicious, but a combination of unique and tonsil-tingling cocktails are accompanied by the coolest sounds played by a range of quality DJ’s. So if you are in the mood for fingered, cocktails and a selection of tunes in the evening sun, then Humlan is definitely the place to make your way to this Friday and Saturday evening.

Take the opportunity to see all of sights all at once with a tour around Stockholm’s biggest attractions as well as learning a thing or two from the knowledgeable and extremely interesting tour guides. Privately hire out the bus for your friends, or share in the wonder with other likeminded sightseers in this weird and wonderful way of exploring the city.

FILM
JASON BOURNE | SF BIO

This man clearly needs no formal introductions as one of the big screens biggest and most lethal action heroes to date. Jason Bourne is back once again with a clearer picture of his past, but with the help of CIA analyst Nicky Parsons, the two set about to give Bourne the reasons for the mysteries and happenings in his dark and tormented past. Up against a newly formed, and even more dangerous, group called “Ironhand”, the two must partner up to try and finally put to rest the monsters hiding in Bourne’s closet. Action packed from beginning to end and the experts skills of Matt Damon in his most iconic movie role, Jason Bourne is exploding with high octane moments that keep the adrenaline at an all time high from the moment the move starts rolling.
